Hampton made two free-throw tries with less than 30 seconds remaining, and Lowell's Yuhki Sakai's 28-footer at the buzzer was off the mark.

Mission (11-9, 6-1 AAA) trailed 41-38 after three quarters but allowed only one field goal in the final quarter.

Sakai and Faheem Carter led Lowell with 11 points apiece.
